Maths Week by Week Breakdown Year 5

English

This term we will be working on fictional stories leading up to and interlinking with our topic of the Industrial Revolution.  We will also be covering poetry, persuasive writing and playscripts during the course of the term.  SPAG lessons will continue to be integrated at appropriate points throughout the units of work.

Reading

As a class we will be taking part in whole class guided reading sessions.  In addition to this, please can all children read regularly at home recording all their reading in their reading records. Please can reading records be in school daily, as we will continue to record reading with individual readers in school.
