Well, that has been a hectic few weeks. It started with a phone call from OFSTED to inform us that they were going to carry out an inspection on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. The inspector spent a lot of time talking to children and was particularly impressed by their candour and noted how tolerant and respectful they were. The inspection itself went very well and the full report should be out in the next few weeks.
The inspection was followed by a sudden snowstorm meaning, sadly, the school had to close for two days. Hopefully the children managed to get outdoors and enjoy the snow.
The school is well on the way to joining the 3-18 Trust with and expected completion date of 31st March 2023. Although initially this will not affect the day to day running of the school, there will be lots of changes and support going on behind the scenes. More details of what this will mean for the school will follow shortly.
A huge congratulations to all those who took part in Live Arts last weekend, you did the school proud. The choir will be singing tomorrow (Saturday 18th March) and if they perform like they did in the assembly today they will bring the house down.
There are lots of various activities for children and families happening over the Easter holidays. Please keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for more details.
Finally, a big thank you to Mrs Enticknap who is still recovering from her accident but has been bravely supporting the school from home. We all wish her well and hope she has a speedy recovery.
Have a nice weekend.
Mr Litchfield
