Situated on the edge of the historic and popular town of Much Wenlock, just south of the Ironbridge Gorge and fourteen miles south-east of Shrewsbury, we are within easy reach of an enormous range of learning environments; rural, urban, historic and modern. Our own extensive grounds provide excellent facilities. They include a large sports field and two hard playgrounds with a range of markings for team games and other activities. We have a challenging outdoor climbing frame purchased with funds raised by our extremely active and successful Parents, Teachers & Friends Association.
A further enclosed play area, with some fixed equipment, is used by our youngest children as an extension to their learning in the classroom. There are further large grassed areas and a range of natural habitats, including woodland and a living willow den. There is a “secret garden” which has been developed for Forest School activities.
At the centre of the school building our courtyard provides another outdoor learning space. Arranged around it are our seven class bases, together with the hall, dining area and meetings room.
We have a wonderful on site self-contained Nursery which has been recently extended. The Nursery children also have access to their own dedicated outdoor learning environment.
